BATTERY CELL CAP: VIDEO TEASER
2025
The launch teaser video dedicated to the Battery Cell Cap, a new battery system component developed by Freudenberg, is an emotional and conceptual narrative that highlights the central role of the BCC within the battery system, providing a versatile asset for internal presentations, commercial activities, trade fairs, and corporate events.

The challenge was to transform a highly technical, hidden component into a recognizable and authoritative piece of content, capable of communicating clearly with stakeholders, sales teams, and institutional audiences. The result is a narrative that makes visible what enables technology to function efficiently and safely, through a visually refined and versatile communication language.
AN ESSENTIAL COMPONENT BROUGHT TO THE SURFACE
Within the battery system, the Battery Cell Cap ensures insulation, manages energy transfer, and contributes to the overall safety of the module. The first step of the project was to analyze these functions in order to define a language capable of revealing the true value of the component. This required a careful balance between technical accuracy and message accessibility.
FORM, FUNCTION, AND CONNECTION AS A NARRATIVE FRAMEWORK
To structure the story, a narrative concept was defined around three dimensions: form, function, and connection.
Form refers to design precision and the level of detail that characterizes Freudenberg components.
Function represents cell protection, insulation, and energy flow regulation.
Connection defines the role of the BCC in linking the cell to the system and enabling controlled energy transfer. This framework made it possible to clearly communicate the contribution of the BCC without relying on overly technical language.
BETWEEN VISUAL ABSTRACTION AND REAL-WORLD APPLICATION
The creation of the 3D renderings, developed in collaboration with Umberto Gnocchi, required accurate modeling of every part of the component, with close attention to materials, surfaces, and mechanical interactions. Animation and editing alternate between technical close-ups and wider sequences, conveying both engineering precision and application context. Abstract environments inspired by the movement of energy highlight the component’s key functions, while contextual scenes connect it to real-world use. A restrained, institutional color palette and sound design aligned with the Freudenberg brand language help create a cohesive high-tech aesthetic.
A NARRATIVE DESIGNED FOR DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EXPERTISE
The video was designed to be effective for different stakeholders, each with specific informational needs. For technical audiences, it highlights the role of the BCC in system continuity, safety, and cell protection. For commercial teams, it serves as a tool to communicate value, differentiation, and the component’s contribution to overall system quality. For management, it provides a visual synthesis of Freudenberg’s innovative approach to designing components for electric mobility.
GIVING VISIBILITY TO WHAT MAKES THE SYSTEM POSSIBLE
The core value of the project lies in its ability to bring attention to a component that, while essential to the safety and efficiency of the battery system, is typically hidden from view. Through a clear narrative and an aesthetic aligned with Freudenberg’s engineering language, the BCC is presented as a key element of the energy infrastructure—a device that supports continuity, protection, and system reliability. The result is content that goes beyond product description, emphasizing its strategic role and strengthening the company’s positioning.
